STATE TIMES NEWS HIRANAGAR: A Multi-lingual Kavi-Sammelan was organised at Bhagwan Shree Parshuram Dham Gurha Mundian Tehsil Hiranagar in memory of late Mansa Ram Sharma ‘Chanchal’, a noted literary personality of J&K and a son of the soil. Kavi-Sammelan was organised by Bhagwan Shree Parshuram Dham Mandir Committee with the collaboration of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. Dr Arvinder ‘Amn’ Additional Secretary of the Academy was Chief Guest whereas Master Mohan Lal, Ex- Minister Punjab and a noted journalist was Special Invitee on the occasion. Prominent poets who recited their poems in Kavi-Sammelan include Madan Lal Toofan, T R Sumbria, R S Kaatal, Vijay Sharma, Mohd Rafiq, Dr Guru Sharma, Sita Ram Sapolia, Renu Padha, K P Kippy, Mangal Dass Dogra and Saroj Bala. A large number of people from village Gurha Mundian and adjoining villages as well as from Kathua and Kathua were present in the Kavi-Samellan.
