STATE TIMES NEWS KISHTWAR: Elderly mother and his son were killed after a massive landslide triggered by heavy rains buried a mud house (Dhok) in village Ghoro Saroor in Patnazi area of Kishtwar District near a sloppy mountain late last night. According to police, after heavy rains the avalanche surged down on the mud house of Prithivi Raj late last night, burying the entire structure under heaps of mud and debris resulting Prithvi Raj and his mother got killed. While confirming the incident, DDC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana, said that Patnazi is a far-off area located on a slope of a hill in Drabshalla Tehsil of Kishtwar. As soon we received a phone call regarding the incident, a police party was sent to the spot, who joined locals in rescue operation to retrieve inmates from the huge mound of earth and debris. “In this tragic incident, Prithvi Raj and his mother, beside dozens of cattle also got buried in the debris. As of now both bodies has been retrieved from the damaged structure, “DDC added, saying that a revenue team has been also sent to assess the damage and submit details for relief. The bodies of deceased which were retrieved from the debris have been identified as Prithiv Raj 40 Son of Lt Jagher Nath and his mother Ganya Devi residents of Ghoro Saroor Tatani, Patnazi.
