Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unannounced visit to Ladakh on Friday has without any doubt enthused the desired zeal and zing among the troops confronting Chinese aggression since past few weeks besides sending a strong message to adversaries across the borders that though India is famous for its soberness but when need arises it can strike back with its herculean might having no match as such in the entire world. The presence of Indian premier along the LAC itself is a proof that morale of the country is upbeat and the scenario as far as ‘Dragon’ is concerned is not the same as it was in 1962, when the country had to face misfortune to some extent. With gestures of a real lion standing near LAC, Modi told troops that the age of expansionism is over and underlined that the country’s enemies have seen the ‘fire and fury’ of its armed forces. He has rightly averred that gallant and valour of the armed forces are echoing in every part of the country. His magnificent aura at the border site has undoubtedly raised the morale of troops manifold bringing in desired enthusiasm among jawans and officers to confront adversaries as never before. In a very strong message to country’s enemies, the Prime Minister said, “We are the same people who pray to the flute-playing Bhagwan Krishna but we are also those who idolise and pray to the same Bhagwan Krishna who carries the Sudarshana Chakra.” He also asserted that modernisation of the armed forces is a priority and spending on border infrastructure has almost trippled. The visit of Prime Minister to Ladakh amid military faceoff with China holds great significance in placing before the world the stance of the country that India can no longer be bullied by the Chinese aggression as its leadership right now is the best with whole lot of confidence, gallant and world class acumen.
