STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Chairman Duggar Kranti Sena (DKS), Vilakshana Singh condemned Modi Government for its failure to deal with Pakistan and terrorism in an effective manner. Singh said that though Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is asking public to vote for BJP for forming a strong Government at the centre, but facts and figures reveal that Modi Government utterly failed to contain Pakistan and terrorism, and its performance with respect to terrorism and cross-border firing was very weak in comparison to UPA Government. Singh said that though India carried out surgical strike and air-strike on terrorist camps located in Pakistan and PoK, but such strikes proved to be ineffective on ground level. He said that instead of taking concrete, effective and long term steps to contain terrorism and cross-border firing, the Government is busy in taking political mileage of surgical strike and air strikes. Singh further said that Modi Government is trying to hide its failure to tackle terrorism in J&K by politically using valour of Armed Forces. Singh further said that RTI Information provided to him by the CPIO, Ministry of Home Affairs has shattered hollow slogans of Modi Government that India is in safe hands under BJP Government. He said that BJP and its supporters are boasting that under Modi Government, maximum number of terrorists were killed in an year in J&K, but RTI information provided by the Ministry of Home Affairs revealed that since 2004, maximum number of terrorist killed in a year in J&K was 976 in 2004, followed by 917 in 2005 whereas maximum number of terrorists killed in a year during Modi Government was 257 only. He stated that Modi Government is hiding facts and figures and befooling people with advertisements and marketing agencies, whereas information provided to him under RTI Act revealed that Modi Government proved to a weaker Government than UPA, in tackling cross border firing and Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
