STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR: The members of Senior Citizens Club Udhampur as its social responsibility towards orphanage inmates of Bal Ashram and Nari Niketan centre visited at both locations at Battal Ballian Udhampur. The women wing of the Senior Citizens Club comprising of Co-Members Manorma Gupta, Sadhna Prakash and Sushma Sharma interacted with the women inmates of the Nari Niketan. Committee comprising of Yash Pal Ex-DD planning, Romesh Kumar Sharma Ex-AGM, R C Mannotra Ex-SSP, Kartar Singh Ex-Tehsildar, SP Singh Tomar Ex-IA under the chairmanship of Sham Lal Gupta Ex JD Planning, Dr. Adarsh Chairman and Mahadeep Singh Jamwal President of the Club interacted with the inmates of the Bal Ashram and Superintendent of the Bal Ashram, TSWO and other staff who explained in detail the management of the Bal Ashram. Talking to media Mahadeep Singh Jamwal President of the Club, Chairman Dr. Adarsh and Manorma Gupta chairman of co-members committee highlighted non availability of the Ambulance service to ferry the inmates of both the institutions at night hours, non availability of any facility to ferry the inmates who are studding in the Schools at Udhampur at a distance of more than 10 kilometers, no Safai Karamchari to clean a big area of both locations, no regular visits of any medical facilitator on regular basis, the security of both these most important locations completely missing and at the mercy of the night watchmans only. The Club decided to bring the short comings to the notice of DSWO for immediate redress of these urgent shortcomings.
