STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Further intensifying his drive to provide better civic amenities to people of Jammu, Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta on Monday visited Rajpura, Shiv Nagar and Shakti Nagar areas of ward no 33 and took stock of various problems being faced by the residents of the areas. While interacting with locals during his visit, the Mayor listened to various grievances and demands of the people which included renovation of drains/ Nallahs, proper de-silting before rainy season, lifting of garbage on routine basis from the area, installation of street-lights, lifting of stray animals etc. Councilor Surinder Choudhary, Balwan Singh (Ward President) and other prominent citizens including Ved Sharma, Munish Khajuria, Atul Bakshi, Baba Sharma and Satpal Khajuria besides a number of JMC officials including Ashok Sharma (AEE), concerned Junior Engineer and others were also present on the occasion. The Mayor also visited Shamshan Ghat in Shakti Nagar and started work of laying of tiles on demand of general public. He further directed the engineering wing of JMC to complete aforesaid work on war footing and assured the inhabitants that all other highlighted demands would be fulfilled on priority basis. Gupta urged people not to throw garbage and filth in drains and Nallahs besides cooperating with JMC for making Jammu city neat, clean and green.
