STATE TIMES NEWS NEW DELHI: NPP President and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia on Friday discussed current political scenario of J&K and other issues of the State with MoS PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh at his residence New Delhi. In a handout issued today, Mankotia said that few days back he had sent request letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the formula for permanent solution of J&K’s problem whereas PM has considered the request and given the responsibility to Dr Jitendra Singh to discuss the matter. During discussion on J&K’s current political scenario, Mankotia said that Re-organisation of the State is the only permanent and ultimate solution for J&K’s problem. Mankotia strongly batted for separate statehood status to both Jammu and Kashmir regions, where as Union territory status to Leh with One Governor of all three regions. Mankotia also discussed the drug menace in the State and delimitation of J&K Assembly constituencies with MoS Singh. “We should all need to rise above from party politics and work jointly for the permanent solution to J&K’s problem”, Mankotia added. MoS Dr Singh listened patiently and assured Mankotia that he will work-out jointly for the permanent solution of the State Jammu and Kashmir. Social activist Anil Kumar Jandial also accompanied Mankotia.
