STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: The activists of BJP State unit celebrated party’s thumping victory in general elections 2019 by dancing on tunes of Dhols, bursting crackers and distributing sweet across the State, while the main function was held at Party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar.
The BJP has retained all three Parliamentary seats in Jammu & Kashmir, i.e., Jammu-Poonch, Udhampur-Doda and Ladakh, with an enhanced performance in all the 6 Parliamentary constituencies of the State. The party workers went into ‘celebration mode’ as soon as NDA crossed the majority mark in 2019 Lok Sabha elections counting held today. Enthusiastic BJP workers were seen congratulating each other, bursting crackers, dancing on Dhol beats at various places across Jammu. Sweets were also distributed by BJP workers among passersby and motorists at numerous places. BJP State President, Ravinder Raina has congratulated all party leaders and ground-level workers for party’s massive victory across the nation. He also thanked the people of Jammu & Kashmir and entire Nation for their love and support for the party during general elections 2019.
Raina credited this landslide victory to dedicated efforts of all BJP workers under the guidance of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Terming this victory as victory of the nationalist ideology against Pakistani supporters, Raina said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will lead nation to more heights in near future. Ravinder Raina further said that the party has shown results on ground level. “We have served the nation with full dedication and efficiency. We have worked with commitment to uplift socio-economic status of every single neglected individual, initiated various Central schemes for welfare of poor with assurance of delivering benefits to needy. BJP has scaled new heights whereas the house of Congress, based on lies, has been reduced to ashes,” Raina said.
Later, after declared as winner on Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma was taken from Vikram Chowk to party headquarters in form of a victory procession by party activists. State President, Ravinder Raina also accompanied Jugal in the procession. On reaching party headquarters, a number of senior party leaders led by State President, Ravinder Raina addressed jubilant party workers. Those who spoke on the occasion included MP (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas; State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul; former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta; Sat Sharma, Yudhvir Sethi, Dr Narinder Singh, Parmod Kapahi, Vikram Randhawa, Sukhnandan Choudhary, Satish Sharma, Priya Sethi, Purnima Sharma and Rajesh Gupta. Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, former Dy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh; Bali Bhagat, Ashok Khajuria, Rajiv Charak, Sanjay Baru, Rajinder Sharma, Arvind Gupta, Ajay Pargal, Advocate Sunil Sethi, Brig Anil Gupta, S S Bijral, Balbir Ram Rattan, Tilak Raj Gupta, Suresh Sharma, Dr Pardeep Mahotra, Jaidev Rajwal, Sanjay Khanna, Ajay Vaid, Kulbhushan Mohtra, Varinderjit Singh, Naresh Singh, Vikas Choudhary, Rajni Sethi, Rajnish Jain, Baldev Billawaria, Ayodhya Gupta, Advocate Bhanu Singh Jasrotia, Advocate Hunar Gupta, Shailja Gupta, Updesh Andotra, Kunti Jasrotia, Mohan Singh Rana, Manish Khajuria and Harbans Choudhary were amongst other prominent BJP leaders, who participated in the day-long celebrations. Meanwhile, BJP’s OBC Morcha also celebrated landslide victory of BJP in Lok Sabha elections here. In this regard, Braham Jyot Satti, State General Secretary BJP OBC Morcha and Parbhari Jammu West celebrated party’s victory by distributing ‘Halwa’ among public at New Plot area of Janipur. Social activists Rajinder Gupta, Deepak Anand, Rashpal Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Joginder Sahni, Raj Kumar and Yogeshwar Singh were also present on the occasion.
