STATE TIMES NEWS BHADARWAH: Curbs to contain the spread of coronavirus were intensified in additional district Bhadarwah and other parts of Doda district on Monday 23 persons who were in administrative quarantine were reported positive, officials said. With no reported case of coronavirus till Monday, District Doda was declared green zone by the Jammu and Kashmir government and simultaneously some relaxations in lockdown were announced by the administration, after which people started thronging to markets and vehicles also started plying in large numbers, thereby making it difficult for the law enforcing agencies to follow the compulsory social distancing. After 23 persons lodged in 3 quarantine centers of Bhadarwah and Doda were reported positive, on Monday morning administration announced strict lockdown, stopped all the vehicular traffic across the district, asked the shopkeepers not to open their establishment and also prohibited people from coming out unnecessarily. Zeeshan Tahir, Tehsildar Bhadarwah said that 14 cases were reported positive from Community Hall Kotli and Royal Bird Hotel quarantine centers and they were immidiately shifted to Covid care hospital Doda for treatment. He said that their is no need to get panic as all the positive cases were already under administrative Quarantine. Lockdown restrictions were imposed only as a precautionary measure. Officer added that in some social media platforms news regarding Curfew being clamped in Bhadarwah is being circulated, this is totally false news as only lockdown has been imposed strictly and pharmaceutical shops are open as usual and people with urgent works are also being allowed to move.
