State Times NewsJAMMU: SaMaPa Digital Baithak Series presented melodious sessions of light classical styles of Indian music like Thumri and Dadra in its 16th week.The 31st and 32nd musical sessions of the Baithak presented both Hindustani Classical Vocal and Instrumental renditions by various musicians presenting light classical forms featuring Dhun in Mishra Piloo by Violinist Pt. Santosh Nahar, Thumri “Nahak Laye Gawanawa, Gawna Karaye Piya Ghar Baithaye Mihen” in Bhairavi by Vocalist Pt. Bholanath Mishra, Dadra “Baalamwa Kit Gaye Sidhaar, Tum Bin Jiya Bekaraar” in Mishra Manj Khamaj by Vocalist Avinash Kumar, Dhun in Mishra Khamaj by Sitarist Ustad Rafique Khan and Thumri “Jamuna Ke Teer Pyaarey Madha” in Bhairavi by Arnab Chatterjee.The introductions were presented by the eminent Flute player Pt. Chetan Joshi. The Baithaks were compered by the renowned broadcaster and anchor Sadhna Shrivastav.
