LIC employees hold demonstrations against anti-worker policies of Govt

JAMMU: A number of LIC employees under banner of Northern Zone Insurance Employees’ Association Srinagar Division as per call of All India Insurance Employees’ Association held massive demonstrations on Wednesday in front of LIC offices of Jammu & Kashmir. The demonstration in Jammu region was led by Pawan Gupta, Divisional Secretary NZIEA Srinagar Division; and in valley region, was led by A M Tantray, Divisional President and Ajaz Ahmad Dar, Joint Secretary. Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Gupta condemned and opposed agenda of NDA Govt. for privatising all public sector enterprises and opening economy to full blast of both domestic and foreign capital. He advocated withdrawal of NPS and demanded increase in family pension, updation of pension and old pension scheme for all. He appealed to raise voice for withdrawal of amended labour laws and agriculture legislations. He also requested the gathering to participate in the strike and make it a thumping success.
