STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: On 35th day of ongoing strike, lawyers took out a protest rally in Samba on Friday. Protest rally was taken out from Court Complex Samba under the leadership of Subash Singh Sambyal President Bar Association Samba in which a large number of lawyers took part. The rally proceeded in various vehicles and passed through National Highway, Link Road, Chohatta Chowk, Hari Singh Chowk and reached Main Chowk Samba where they raised slogans against Govt for divesting registration of various documents to Revenue Department. Those present including, Rajeev Gupta, Madhu Bala, Rakesh Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Mohinder Singh Charak, Rajeev Bhagat. KATHUA: The work remain suspended for the 27th consecutive working day in the District & Sessions Court Kathua including all other subordinate courts of the entire District Kathua and complete shutdown observed by District Bar Association Kathua led by its President Advocate Ajat Shatru Sharma in support of J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu on the issue of withdrawing of Registration powers from Judicial Officers. In order to intensify the agitation the members of the District Bar Association Kathua also started token hunger strike in the premises of District & Sessions Court Kathua, on the similar pattern of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu. The members also agitated against the wrong decision of J&K UT Govt. for the diversion of registration powers to the already overburdened revenue officers. The Advocates who sit on hunger strike today includes Advocate Ajat Shatru Sharma, Advocate Shrikant Sagar Raina, Advocate Rahul Sharma, Advocate Atul Andotra & Advocate Deepak Sharma. The next batch of five Advocates who will sit on token hunger strike includes Adv. Devinder Singh, Adv. Pardeep Singh, Adv. Vikas Kant Gupta, Adv. Saurav Mahajan and Adv. Sumreshwar Singh.
