STATE TIMES NEWSSAMBA: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Samba under the administrative control of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J) actively participated in third Phase of Back to village programme at Sumb in Samba district organized on 25.09.2020, under the aegis of Directorate of Extension, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu.This programme was organised at Panchyat Taloor,Block Sumb district Samba. The chief guest of the programme was Sh. Naveen Chowdhary, IAS, Principal Secretary to Govt, Agriculture Production Department. The progromme was attended to boost the coordination among the development departments working in district Samba for the farming community. The programme was organized by Block Development Officer, where various development department has actively participated. The beneficiaries of KVK Samba also witnessed their participation along with their exhibits. In this occasion KVK Samba displayed the exhibition, where new technologies like seeds of improved varieties, pheromone traps, biopecticides, new breeds of Poultry, agriculture tools were shown to the farmers.During the programme Dr. S.K. Gupta Director Extension SKUAST Jammu laid the emphasis on integrated Farming system, protected cultivation ,value addition among farming community.Dr. Vinod Gupta Senior Scientist and Head KVK Samba ,in his address assured the farming community for all the possible technical guidance from KVK .Dr.A.K.Sinha, Dr Saurav Gupta, Dr.Suraj Kumar Amrutkar were also presented during the programme.
