State Times NewsJAMMU: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC), during a meeting convened on Friday, condemned Dr Farooq Abdullah, former Chief Minister J&K for his statement that ‘Kashmiris do not want to be Indian and would rather be ruled by China.’KPC Chief President Kundan Kashmiri said that Farooq Abdullah has again started to mislead Kashmiri Muslims besides fiddling with muddy waters of Kashmir. “Although ill-conceived remarks by failed Kashmiri politician Farooq Abdullah, who has lost his relevance, is his sheer frustration which has been exposed before the world. His anti-national statement has anguished people of the entire nation in general and nationalist people of JK UT in particular,” he added.The KPC Chief reminded Farooq Abdullah to go through the plights of Muslims living in China, especially Uighur Muslims who have no rights and freedom and are suffering with Chinese barbarities including arbitrary arrest, forced labour, detention camps, torture, murder and rape, destruction of mosques, confiscated Qurans, forbidden Halal diets and banned fasting during the month of Ramadan, while Muslims of Kashmir are enjoying every freedom, rights and all privileges. Kundan further reminded Farooq that even on present day, he is the Member of Indian Parliament and is enjoying all privileges, provided by the Indian Government.The KPC Chief further stated that by playing China card, Farooq Abdullah is again trying to blackmail nation and doing dis-service to people of Kashmir by propagating lies in order to remain in power and enjoy all benefits. “Kashmiri masses very well understand that Farooq is issuing such statements to remain relevant and they (Kashmiri Muslims) cannot befooled once again by such gimmicks,” he said, adding that failed Kashmiri leader should realise that relations between India and China are very tense at present and anyone who supports an adversary, especially during wartime, is nothing but a traitor and can be punished for glorifying enemy nation. He further asked Farooq to desist from provoking Kashmiri masses and black-mailing India for personal and political interests, and suggested that, if he really likes and loves China and wants to be ruled by Chineses, he is at full liberty to leave Kashmiri, which an integral part of India, and start living in China. The KPC Chief further appealed to Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India took serious note of anti-national statement of Farooq Abdullah at the earliest.Other KPC leaders present on the occasion included Tej Pandita, Dr H L Saraf, Susheel Bhat, Rajender Dhar and R L Raina.
