State Times News R S PURA: In order to celebrate annual day of Uttami Devi the All India Kaith Biradari organised a special programme at Village Kothe Chohala wherein the hundreds of Kaiths hailing from different corners of the country converged in large number and paid obeisance to their female tutelary deity to seek her benevolent blessings for the welfare their families. The programme began with Havan, Puja and singing hymns in praise of the deity who is believed to be protector of the Kaith families and fulfils wishes of all. On the occasion, the Kaith Biradari honoured Captain Girdhari Lal Kaith for playing a commendable role in the Biradari’ welfare activities. Addressing the Biradari members, the Biradari leaders said education is the best out to empower Biradari and would also be of paramount importance in eradicating the most common social evil i.e. alcoholism which in one way or another affects economic condition of the Biradari members and is often considered problematic in terms of moral values. They asked the Biradari members to use their thinking power for constructive purposes and be innovative. Later, the Kaith Biradari Committee discussed a number of measures for the development of Asthan so that in future a large strength of Kaiths could participate in the functions arranged over there. Prominent among others who graced the auspicious occasion with their distinguished presence included Messrs R.L.Kaith, Ex Naib Sarpanch Ram Lal, Ex Subedar Karnail Dass, Ex Subedar Bachan Lal, Ex Havildar Des Raj, Karam Chand, Jagdish Ram, Krishan Lal, Rattan Lal and Sat Pal.
