JAMMU: Jammu Newspaper Editor’s Guild, a platform created to highlight the genuine demands and problems being faced by the media houses is going to organise a mega meeting at Lemon Tree Hotel near Railway Station, Jammu on December 4 (Friday) to discuss burning issues facing Media fraternity and to arrive at amicable solutions for resolution of issues coming across on daily basis.Newspaper Editor’s Guild has broadened the scope of media fraternity where views of different media concerns will be highlighted and addressed. Editors-Owners are therefore requested to please come and share your views and concerns regarding genuine problems for their redressal at the appropriate forum timely and properly. Media fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir is working in very complex situation as compared to rest of the country, walking on the razor’s edge for the past many years and facing pressure due to uncertainty.Journalists, young reporters, press photographers, editors and media houses are facing a lot of difficulties while delivering their professional duties in Jammu and Kashmir. Media houses in Jammu and Kashmir are face to face with numerous problems in terms of publication of newspapers and other related expenses. “Keeping in view the prevailing circumstances, many associations across J&K were formed to overcome these problems faced by the media fraternity but failed to achieve any tangible results”, stated Chairman, Jammu Newspaper Editor’s Guild.
