STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) on Friday carried out an anti-encroachment drive in Bakshi Nagar and adjoining areas of Jammu city. The enforcement team of Jammu Municipal Corporation, on instructions of Commissioner Pankaj Magotra and under the supervision of Joint Commissioner (A) Ashish Kumar Gupta headed by Assistant Commissioner (Rev), Prem Singh Chib in early morning of Friday, removed two Gensets illegally installed on bylanes and footpaths, meant for pedestrian movement in Bakshi Nagar area. The gensets, installed by Punjab National Bank and Jammu and Kashmir Bank (Branch Bakshi Nagar), were causing serious public nuisance besides impeding vehicle and pedestrian movement in the area, a JMC official said. Jammu Municipal Corporation appealed to all city dwellers for immediate clearing of all public pathways of city from all kind of illegal structures and fixtures, both movable and immovable, to make the city clean and obstacle-free.
