JKTF urges Admn to fulfill demands

JAMMU: Highlighting various demands of teaching fraternity, Chairman Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) & President EJAC, Mohd Rafique Rather on Thursday urged the concerned authorities in administration to initiate necessary measures for fulfilling pending demands of teachers across J&K. While addressing a presser, Mohd Rafique Rather said, “Teachers have nourished the forum with their sweat & blood. With their support, the forum worked with more valour & zeal for the restoration of honour & dignity of employees.” Expressing serious concern over Govt’s apathy over pending issues confronted by teaching community, he stressed upon the concerned authorities for their immediate redressal. On the occasion, founder leader and Provincial President Mohd Afzal Bhat was nominated as President JKTF, whereas Shabir Ahmad Bhat was nominated as General Secretary, Showkat Ali Baig Provincial President, Gh Nabi Sofi State Secretary, Gh Hassan Zarger Provincial General Secretary and Javid Ahmad Khan as Provincial Vice-president. Senior leader JKTF Pir Nissar Ahmad announced provincial and District bodies which included Javid Ahmad Khan (Provincial VP), Dr Bandroo (VP-2), Peerzada Altaf Ahmad (Secretary), Imtiyaz Ah Shah (Joint Secretary), Ab Rafi Bhat (Provincial Organisor), Nazir Ah Magray (Convener), Irshad Ahmad (Depty Convener), Irfan Nazir (Pub Sec), Pervaiz Ah (Coordinator), Mushtaq Ah (Deputy Coordinator), Mohd Ashraf and Ashiq Hussain (Deputy Press Secretary). District Presidents were also nominated on the occasion comprising Aijaz Ahmad Dar (District President Budgam), Gh Mohi-ud-Din Mir (Srinagar), Hamidullah Tramboo (Pulwama), Manzoor Ah Naikoo (Anantnag), Javid Ahmad (Kulgam), Gulzar Ahmad (Ganderbal) and Syed Sajjad (Bandipora). Ishfaq Ahmad Shah, Ab Qayoon and Gulzar Ahmad have been already nominated as District Presidents for Baramulla, Shopian & Kupwara. Others present were Mohd Afzal Bhat, Mohd Ashraf Mir, Mohd Amin Khan, Peer Nissar Ahmad, Showkat Ali Beig, Shabir Ahmad Bhat, Mir Ahmudullah, Qamar uddin, Farooq Kareme, Muzafer Dar, Gh Nabi Sofi, Gh Hassan Zarger, Farooq Ah Bhat and Tariq Ahmad.
