STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: J&K Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses (JKSPYM), a NGO working in the field of Health and Development organised an awareness programme on drug abuse and its ill effects in collaboration with JKSRTC Jammu. The objective of this camp was to generate awareness among the Drivers and other staff of JKSRTC regarding ill-effects of drug abuse and information regarding Outreach and Drop In-center running under the ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. JKSPYM in its recent survey found that drug abuse is in rise in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and every activity pertaining to curb the addiction is much required now days.More than 50 people from JKSRTC participated in the programme and got benefitted from it. General Manager JKSRTC, Sudesh Gupta was the chief guest of the occasion. Centre Incharge Shikha along with her team members, Meher and Sonia of JKSPYM ODIC project mentioned that JKSPYM is actively involved in spreading awareness against drugs since last 20 years.
