STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: Students of JK Public School Panjtirthi brought laurels to the school and their parents by winning medals in the recently held Gitoku-Kai Karate Do Championship organised by Gito Ku Kai Karate Do Association, Punjab in Goal Bagh Stadium at Amritsar. The competition was held at National level in which around 20 states participated. Six students of JKPS Panjtirthi representing Jammu and Kashmir State also participated and won medals. The gold medals were won by Mohd Shamshad and Mahi Mahajan of Class 3rd and Tanika Jain and Wahid Farooq of Class 4th. Adit Sabotra of class 5th won silver medal while bronze medal winner was Yuvraj Bhasin of class 3rd. The deserving Jakians were applauded and motivated by the Principal of JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah. She appreciated the Jakians and added, “Go confidently in the direction of your dream. The only thing that overcomes hard luck is hard work.” She further expressed, “To have the gold medal around the neck is an indescribable feeling. It is really special. Be proud of your hardwork and achievement. Keep going ahead!” The Principal congratulated Sheetal, the karate Instructor of JKPS Panjtirthi and applauded her efforts for training the child well and appreciated her efforts by giving her a cash prize.
