STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: JK Police Public School (JKPPS) Jammu celebrated ‘Fit India Week’ from December 2 to 7, 2019. The week comprised of various activities as per CBSE guidelines. On December 4, Nutrition Day was celebrated. The guest lecture was organised by Dr Sanjogita Soodan, (Sports Medicine Specialist) CMO, Government Medical College Jammu, who highlighted the importance of fitness and nutrition in our lives. She also briefed students about ill effects of drug abuse and doping in the field of sports and life in general. She motivated students to be aware about their fitness. On December 7, the event culminated with a yoga session and a guest lecture by Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Associate Vice President Indian Olympics Association and Senior Vice President Yoga Federation of India. He advised the students to adopt fitness as their lifetime mission. He appreciated the efforts of the school to make the mission a tool to generate awareness amongst the students and exclusive infrastructure supporting the sports and fitness environment. The Principal, Renuka Guleria, paid gratitude to guest speakers for guiding the students towards the goal of Fit India.
