STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: OBC Department of the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee expressed resentment over the winding up of Backward Classes Commission constituted under State Backward Classes Commission 1997 and again formation of new commission namely Jammu Kashmir Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Commission headed by Justice G.D Sharma as its Chairman and two members S.L Bharti and Muneer Khan. Chairman OBC Department J&K PCC, Advocate Suresh Kumar Dogra said that the peoples of J&K has been made befooled by the Modi led Union Government as well as by the UT Administration of J&K as the aforesaid unconstitutional commission has nothing for Other Backward Classes peoples who are always remained deprived of their social educational and political reservation. Dogra further added that after the Abrogation of Article 370 and 35A the weaker section of Other Backward Classes had expected the Modi led Government would provide a scope for the aforesaid section by gifting them Mandal Commission Report which guarantees 27 per cent reservation but got betrayed by the government. Dogra demanded a separate Commission for OBC of J&K with its Chairman and Members from the same community. “If these demands are not fulfilled then the commission so constituted is all in vain for the said community,” he asserted.
