STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: AICC is organising a ‘Maha Rally’ on December 14, 2019 in Dehli to protest against economic crisis, large scale unemployment and unprecedented price hike due to wrong policies of BJP government at the centre. In a statement issued here, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson, Ravinder Sharma said that AICC and JKPCC members including former ministers, former legislators, PCC functionaries, District Presidents and leaders of the frontal wings of JKPCC apart from other party activists from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh would participate in the ‘Maha Rally’. They have been asked to attend the rally along with other prominent party colleagues. He said that as a part of nationwide programme against worst kind of economic slowdown leading to large scale unemployment and unprecedented price hike, which is a matter of great concern, AICC is holding the rally. The BJP government’s wrong economic policies during past six years has brought the country to a situation of financial emergency and as against the promise of generating two crore new jobs annually, those employed in private sectors are loosing jobs due to the economic slowdown being faced by the private companies, he said. “The ‘Maha Rally’ shall focus the attention of countrymen towards the prevailing economic situation and impress upon the government to take corrective measures in the larger interest of poor and common man,” he added.
