JAMMU: It is of utmost importance to learn more about our environment and the many ways to care for our planet.
To infuse the same spirit in the young minds of Jakians, World Earth Day was celebrated at JK Public School Panjtirthi with great fervour.
Sindhu Kohli and Indu Koul adverted the attention of the Jakians to the optimisation of the natural resources by making judicial use of them.
Jakians presented concrete talks and skits exhibiting that our misconducts towards earth are destroying nature and it is our prime responsibility to preserve our earth and make it a better place to live in.
Jakians depicted how they value their planet. They also enacted the new ways to “go green”. Jakians also lauded the slogans on the themes ‘Recycle old items into new’, ‘Use Solar power-best alternate energy source’ and ‘Reduce waste by using Compost’.
Principal JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah rewarded the Jakians who answered the questions based on current affairs and earth.
Principal expressed that earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth.
She added that we must recognise our grave duty to handover the earth to our future generation in such a condition that they can live on it comfortably and continue to cultivate it.
