JAMMU: JK Public School Kunjwani on Tuesday conducted SOF IGK Olympiad for classes VI-X. Overall 60 students took part in this for level-1, and the winners of this level will go for the next level.
“Through this our students would be encouraged to determine their career interests right from school days and also explore opportunities beyond academics and develop a physically fit and mentally brilliant mind,” S.K Singh, Principal said.
SOF, he added, is an educational foundation and non-profit organisation which promotes Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge professional courses.
“It also aims at developing students’ cognitive skills, with the objective of identifying and nurturing their talent and to develop competitive spirit amongst students and prepare them for academic excellence,” SK Singh said.
At JKPS Kunjwani, he said, the key to having a large, exclusive talent for the future is seeking out, identifying young JKIANS in providing them with a unique competitive platform where they can prove themselves.
Such types of practices are to familiarise students with various challenges in their life, he said adding that students are drilled to take up the forthcoming difficulty levels also.
The principal also appreciated the efforts of the young JKIANS in this and focused that more and more students to be a part of this initiative next time.
