SPORTS REPORTER JAMMU: Champions in the 25th edition and runners-up last year, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday lost in their first match of the pre-quarterfinals stages in the ongoing 27th J&K Football Championship at GGM Science College ground, here. The J&K Police was beaten by a Srinagar based local side of Acro Football Club by one goal to nil. In the meantime, J&K Power Development Corporation qualified for the semifinals stages of the competition. In the quarterfinal encounter, the JKPDC defeated J&K Bank Academy Jammu. In other pre-quarterfinals of the day, DFA Srinagar outplayed Young Rovers FC, Jammu by a solitary goal.
