JAMMU: Jammu Intellectual Forum (JIF) has expressed the serious concern over not posting Chief Town Planner (CTP) in the office Jammu Development Authority (JDA) as the post is lying vacant since August 1, 2020 and the people are suffering a lot especially who are in queue to seek the permission for building construction and urged the Lt Governor to immediate fill the vacant post. In a press statement, the Secretary General JIF Pt R.C Sharma (Journalist, RTI & Peace Activist) urged the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha through a letter to immediately post Chief Town Planner so that people may not suffer more.He said that people of Jammu have already suffered loss of time since April due to Covid-19 pandemic but now the callous attitude of the Principal Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department Dheeraj Gupta has added more miseries to the suffering people. He said that wavering attitude of Dheeraj Gupta has put on hold the entire system of Jammu Development Authority. He said that JDA official has already conveyed about it to Principal Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department Dheeraj Gupta but the reason for deliberate delaying on his part is beyond to understand. He further said that people are trying to put the development process on track which has been derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic but the administrator like Dheeraj Gupta are proscribing the developing process in Jammu, which is contrary to interest of Jammu.
