STATE TIMES NEWSSrinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday recorded 198 fresh COVID-19 cases, raising the tally in the union territory to 7,695, while the death toll reached 105 with four more patients dying of the disease, officials said. “Four persons, who were COVID-19 positive, have died over the past 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir,” the officials said.
Another PEPSI employee found corona positive, production stopped BARI BRAHMANA: Another employee of PEPSI Company situated at Bari Brahmana was found positive on Wednesday. As per the details, after an employee of PEPSI Company was found positive, the tests of other employees were conducted out of which one senior official was tested positive. In view of two corona positive cases in the company, administration has stopped production in the factory, order of which was issued by Teshildar Bari Brahmana Memood Kesar. “The official who tested positive today has been taken to quarantine centre and the area nearby his house has been sealed”, SHO Gangyal said. Pertinent to mention here that earlier an employee of factory was tested corona positive after which administration put all the employees under quarantine in the factory however, women employees were put under home quarantine. No one was allowed to go out while nobody was allowed to enter inside the factory by the administration. Tests of over dozens of employees were conducted and some of the employees were sent to paid quarantine on demand.
