IRP 16th Bn organises volleyball tournament

RAMBAN: To provide convenient atmosphere to the local youth of Ramban especially adjoining areas of APC Pernote, maiden three-day volleyball tournament 2020 was organized jointly by IRP 16th Battalion and Youth Association of Pernote at APC Pernote, here in which eight teams of district Ramban are participating.
The inaugural ceremony of the tournament was held on Thursday in which the Chief Guest, Amit Gupta SSP, Commandant IRP 16th Bn. inaugurated the tournament.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Jeevan Kumar-SP, Rayaz Iqbal Tantray-SP and Anu Sharma-DySP IRP 16th besides prominent citizens of Pernote including Amrit Versha and local Sarpanchs of Pernote A & B.
A good number of youth was also present on the occasion.
Commandant IRP 16th Bn interacted with the players and highlighted sports benefit to them and advised them to show true sportsmanship while playing the game.
All the procedures of COVID-19 were followed while conduct of the tournament.
