STATE TIMES NEWSDODA: Continuing the ongoing activities of distribution of immunity boosters among the frontline workers of district Doda,the team of ISM department Doda on the directions of District Development Commissioner Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode and on the instructions of Director, Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM),J&K, Jammu, today distributed immunity boosting AYUSH medicines free of cost among more than 700 frontline functionaries of various departments and general public in Doda. Around 6000 beneficiaries including frontline workers of health, police and employees of various other departments besides general public have been provided with these medicines by the ISM AYUSH Doda. Medical Officer Dr Mubashir Mintoo along with Dr Ashwani Thakur and team of other staff members instructed employees about the mode of consumption and dosage of these immune boosting medicines. District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode holds symbolic felicitation of police officers in the presence of Senior Superintendent of Police Doda, Mumtaz Ahmed, for their immense contribution as Corona warriors for effectively managing the ongoing Covid-19 crisis in the district. The Police officers who were felicitated with certificates of appreciation by the DDC including Sub Inspector Mohd Younis Khanday, Nitin Khajuria and Manohar Lal. Speaking on the occasion, the DDC congratulated the felicitated Officers for showcasing proactive approach during the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, asking them to maintain this enthusiasm & dedication and to be always at the forefront for the safety and security of the general public in the long run of their services also. Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarters, Doda Manoj Kumar, Headquarter Assistant Daljeet Parihar were also present on the occasion. In an effort to supplement the efforts of the district administration in its fight against the Coronavirus pandemic, the Executive Engineer PWD on behalf of the KAPAHI constructions on Thursday handed over a consignment of 100 PPE kits to the District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode for further distribution among the health workers. The DDC thanked the Kapahi constructions and said that a collective and sustained effort from every section of the society is required to combat COVID-19 in the district. SAMBA: Under the administration of District Development Commissioner Samba Rohit Khajuria and as per directions of Director ISM Dr Mohan Singh, Ayush awareness cum medical camp was organised at SSB camp BDO block Vijaypur by Ayush Department Samba on Thursday. Ayush medicines for immunity boosting and prevention of COVID-19 were distributed by Nodal officer ISM Samba Dr Vandana Dogra and Ayush staff including Dr Roopsi Gupta Medical Officer, Raj Kumar Sup. Pharmacist and Shashi Pal sr. pharmacist to all jawans. An awareness lecture was delivered by Dr Vandana Dogra and Dr Roopsi Gupta regarding preventive measures like home remedies, meditation, hand washing, social distancing to all the cops present there. About 135 jawans took benefits of the camp. POONCH: Parmaarth: Service Before Self, a charitable Trust has put a foot forward, taking care of the needs of corona warriors and have come up with an innovative idea of making face shields and face masks at home for distribution among policemen and the health care staff. Richa Sharma, the Chairperson of the Trust, donated 100 face shields to District Hospital Poonch, 200 face shields to District Police Headquarters Poonch 150 shields at SDH Mendhar.
