STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: In continuation to its endeavours and to impart health awareness among people in the region, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Speciality Hospital in collaboration Shree Chandi Mata Sewa Trust and Corporator Ward Number 9 organised a free medical camp here on Sunday at Ved Mandir Ambphalla. Suneet Kumar Raina, Corporator said that the camp was a part of his continuous endeavour to reach out to underprivileged sections of the society. Free medicines were also provided to needy patients during the camp. A number of people attended the camp and availed benefit from the camp. A team of specialist doctors, consultants, nurses and volunteers rendered its services during the camp and provided free consultations and check-ups for cardiology, internal medicine, general surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopedics, dermatology, urology, nephrology, gastroenterology and dental related ailments. In addition to it, free blood pressure check-up, blood sugar check-up, BMI check-up tests were also carried out on occasion to create awareness about diabetes and hypertension, which are among most worrisome health issues prevalent in the region.
