STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: The government issued a circular for Travelling Allowance in favour of members of All India Services serving in connection with the affairs of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. “Consequent to issuance of Government Order No 494-F of 2019 dated December 20, 2019 regarding Travelling Allowance (TA) entitlements of members of All India Services serving in connection with the affairs of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, all the Departments are advised to strictly observe the instructions in addition to the regulation of Travelling Allowance of members of All India Services in accordance with Office Memorandum No. 19030/ 1/2017-E.IV dated July 13, 2017 read with Office Memorandum of even No. dated February 1, 2018 issued by Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India,” reads the Circular issued by Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Financial Commissioner, Finance Department. “As per instruction, in case of visit to Delhi or some other places on official tour where Government of Jammu and Kashmir provides accommodation for Government Officers, No Objection Certificate, shall be obtained from the Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi/ Joint or Deputy Resident Commissioner concerned to the effect that “No accommodation is available during the visit of the officer” in case the officer stays elsewhere and the visit shall be planned well in advance to achieve cost efficiency,” it added.
