STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: The government on Wednesday included “Cancellation Clause” in the appointment orders. “It has been observed that the appointment orders, issued by the departments in respect of new recruits, do not provide for automatic cancellation of appointment of a recruit in the event he/she fails to join within the stipulated period of 21 (twenty one) days. This leads to avoidable difficulties in computation of vacancies and at times to avoidable litigation,” reads the circular issued by GAD on Wednesday.
After considering the aforesaid matter, the circular stated, it has been felt expedient to include the standard condition in all the appointment orders to be issued by the departments.
The cancellation clause reads, “The candidates who fail to join within a period of 21 (twenty one) days from the date of issuance of the appointment order shall forego their right to appointment which shall be deemed to have been came//& abinitio without any further notice.”
“All the Administrative Secretaries are impressed upon to, henceforth, incorporate the aforesaid clause as a standard condition in all the appointment orders as may be issued by their departments or their Heads of Departments or subordinate offices,” the circular further stated.
