STATE TIMES NEWSTHANNAMANDI: Govt. Degree College Thannamandi organised an extension lecturer on drug addiction on Thursday in the college campus. Sajjad Ahmed Khan Sub Divisional Police Officer was the key note speaker. Speaking on the occasion, Sajjad Ahmed Khan made the students aware regarding the drugs menace and stressed on its eradication from the society. He advised the student not to indulge in deadly menace of drugs in any stage of their life. He has also talked about new regulation of road traffic rules besides highlighting crime against women. Principal of College Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi while addressing the students stressed on maintaining the discipline on the campus and advised the students to attend the college with regularity and punctuality in proper uniform. The faculty members present in the programme were Dr. Shamim Azad (HOD Botany), Dr. Muqaddus Kariem (HOD Chemistry), Naveen Sharma (HOD EVS), Waqr Ahmed Chief Librarian, Fatima Bi (HOD Political Science), Dr. Wahid Ahmed Qazi (HOD Islamic Study) and several others. The lecturer was attended by large gathering of students of all the semesters. The programme was conducted by Dr. Khalid Rayaz (HOD Geography) and Dr. Shokit Ali (HOD Urdu) presented the formal vote of thanks.
