GDC Marheen conducts webinar on entrepreneurship skills

UDHAMPUR: Government Degree College, Marheen conducted a webinar on development of entrepreneurship skills and government programme for self-employment. This webinar was organised by Dr. Romilla Malla, Principal, GDC Marheen in collaboration with Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), SBI.
Lucky Sharma, Lecturer in geography was the coordinator for the programme. The deliverance of content was made by our resource person Neha Salaria from RSETI, SBI. In the first session, the emphasis was upon developing skills for self employment to encourage the students to take up steps for rural employment development.
Vocational courses like Jute Bag making, electrician, plumbing, mushroom planting, tailoring and various start-up were taken up for discussion. In the second session another theme was given special attention i.e. government self-employment programmes and how these programmes are helping the youth for choosing best career opportunities. This event was successfully ended with a special vote of thanks by Assistant professor Sonika Jasrotia. Those who were present were Prof Deepak Gupta, Prof Gourav, Prof Suman, Prof Bhubneshwari, Prof Shobhna, Prof Preeti.
