STATE TIMES NEWSRAJOURI: Government Degree College Doongi Rajouri celebrated programme Gandhi Jayanti by organising various online programmes, essay writing competition on the theme ” Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violance and its relevance in present time ” Quiz competition on the topic “Gandhi Ji and non-violance and painting /poster making competition.A large number of students of the college participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. In essay writing competition first position was got by Palak Tara of BA semester 3rd, & second and third position secured by Rohit Sharma & fasil Javied of BA semester third.In quiz competition out of thirty five students first position was secured by Abhishek Sharma of BA semester 3rd, second position was bagged by Anil Sharma of BA semester first and third position by Ankush Kumar of BA semester first whereas in poster making/painting competition Rahul Kumar, Alaybe Malik and Kajal Sharma of BA semester first secured 1st ,2nd and 3rd position respectively.Dr. Shamim Ahmed Azad Principal of the college laid emphasis on the relevance of Gandhian principles in one’s daily life and need to follow them. He also congratulated to all the participants and organisers for their active role.The programme was coordinated and organised by Dr. Tahir Amin Khan.The entire programme was conducted under the supervision of Principal of the College Dr. Shamim Ahmed Azad.
