STATE TIMES NEWSSAMBA: BDO Monika Sharma of Ghagwal block of district Samba initiated “Gandagi Mulkt Bharat” week-long campaign on Saturday. This campaign is under the Department of Rural development department and will be organised in every Panchayat of District Samba under supervision of DC and ADC Samba.This drive is to mobilize villagers for cleanliness, and personnel hygiene in wake of COVID-19 with a greater goal of a healthy lifestyle in villages. BDO Ghagwal informed that under E-Ratrichaupal she conducted meetings with various Panchayats as Ghagwal, Tapyal, Harsath, Nonath, Sangwali, Jatwal through video conferences. She further said that on 9th august 2020, they will conduct a drive to collect single-use plastic which will be segregated and managed. On 10th August, a mobile van will be used to promote awareness about cleanliness, around their surrounding. In upcoming days the local children will be engaged through various painting, essay writing competitions. The cleanliness drive will also cover the local government hospitals and centers for awareness.
