STATE TIMES NEWS SRINAGAR: In connection with Independence Day celebrations, full dress rehearsal was held at SK Stadium here where Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan unfurled the Tricolour and inspected the parade and took the salute at the march past. The march past was presented by the contingents of BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, JKAP, IRP, Women police, Executive police, SDRF and emergency services. Besides the contingents of Forest Protection Force, and J&K Police band also took part in the march past.
Department of Academy of Art Culture and Languages, Police, CRPF and BSF presented colourful cultural events in Kashmiri, Urdu, Dogri, Ladakhi and Punjabi languages on the occasion.
DGP Dilbag Singh, ADGPs Muneer Khan and S.J.M Gillani, DIG Central, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Shahid Iqbal, SSPs, Joint Director Information and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
BUDGAM: Full dress rehearsal in connection with the forthcoming Independence Day celebrations was held at Sports Stadium Budgam.
On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade and took the salute at the March-past.
The march-past was presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF and Home Guards.
Additional SP Budgam, Muneer Ahmad, ACR Zaffar Shawl and other Civil and Police officers were also present on the occasion.
GANDERBAL: A colourful ceremony in connection with full dress rehearsal of upcoming Independence Day celebrations was held at Gadura Stadium here wherein Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal unfurled the Tricolour and took the salute at the march past.
The march past was presented by contingents of CRPF 118Bn, BSF, JKP, PTS Manigam, SPOs, Home Guards, and ITBP.
Officers from civil administration, police and Army were also present on the occasion.
KULGAM: In connection with the celebrations of Independence Day, full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines Kulgam wherein Additional District Development Commissioner Riyaz Ahmad Sofi unfurled the National Flag and inspected the parade and took salute at the march past.
The march past was presented by contingent of J&K Police, CRPF, Women Police, Home Guards and ITBP.
SSP Kulgam, ADC, and ACR were also present on the occasion.
SHOPIAN: Full dress rehearsal was held at District Police Lines Shopian wherein Assistant Commissioner Revenue Shahnawaz Ahmad unfurled the Tricolour and took salute at the march past.
Various contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, Home Guard, and Forest Protection Force participated in the march past.
KUPWARA: Full dress rehearsal for forthcoming Independence Day was on Tuesday held here at District Police Lines Kupwara.
The Additional District Development Commissioner Mohammad Ashraf Bhat unfurled the National Flag and took salute at the march-past comprising the contingents of JKP, IRP, CRPF, JK Home Guards and Police Commandos.
SSP Kupwara Shriram Ambarker, CEO, and DYSSO besides other District officers were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the function, the ADDC said that work on various development projects is apace in the district. He said that work on 161 languishing projects with an allocation of Rs. 415 crore is going on in full swing in Kupwara.
Besides, Rs 213 Crore are being incurred on the execution of various developmental and welfare schemes under district plan.
On the occasion, various cultural programmes were also held. A cash award of Rs.20, 000 was distributed among the cultural troop.
Full dress rehearsal functions were also held at Handwara and Karnah.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara while chairing a meeting directed the concerned officers to make upcoming Independence Day celebrations a grand success in the district.
