State Times NewsRAMBAN/NAGROTA/JAMMU: Police on Sunday nabbed four narco smugglers in separate actions and recovered Charas and heroin from their possession.As per details, on a specific information received from reliable sources, a party from Police Station Batote during Naka checking, intercepted a WagonR (JK 02AB/3560). During checking, 500 gm Charas was recovered from aforesaid vehicle. The accused driver disclosed his identity as Suraj Kumar, son of Om Raj, resident of Daroon Grani Bhella, District Doda. He was arrested on the spot and a case vide FIR No. 62/2020 under Sections 8 & 20 of NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Batote. The arrest and recovery was made by Insp Ranjeet Singh Rao, SHO Police Station Batote on directions of Rajinder Singh Chib, DySP Hqrs Ramban and under close supervision of Sanjay Parihar, Addl SP Ramban and Haseeb Ur Rehman, SSP Ramban . Meanwhile, Nagrota Police also arrested a narco smuggler during Naka in the area and recovered 30 gm Charas from his possession. The accused has been identified as Sahil Sharma, resident of Chenani. In another action, a party from Police Station Janipur, led by In-Charge SHO Janipur Insp Khyati Maan Khajuria, acting swiftly on an information, apprehended two persons namely Tanu Dhanja, son of Hari Krishan, resident of Ram Nagar colony Hansi, District Hissar (Haryana) and Sandeep Kumar, son of Ram Jah Singh, resident of House No. 336, village Darya, Chandigarh. On search, 10 gm heroine (Chitta) was recovered from their possession. A case vide FIR No. 74/2020 under Sections 8, 21 & 22 of NDPS Act was registered against them at Police Station Janipur.
