STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA/MIRAN SAHIB: Police on Friday arrested four drug peddlers and recovered Charas and heroin from their possession. As per the details, a police team of Bari Brahmana Police station headed by inspector Darshan Singh SHO under the supervision of SDPO Sunil Kesar laid Naka on Jammu Pathankot National Highway near Sarore Bridge and apprehended three person on suspicious ground. During their frisking, police recovered 1.5 grams of Charas from their possession. The drug peddlers identified as Rajat Sharma, son of Davinder Sharma, resident of Roop Nagar Muthi Camp, Asheesh Matto, son of Vijay Matto, resident of H. No 158 Balmiki Colony Gandhi Nagar Jammu and Jai, son of Yashpal Singh, resident of H. No 176 Balmiki Colony Gandhi Nagar Jammu were arrested and a case vide FIR No 65/2019 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered against them in Bari Brahmana Police Station. Meanwhile, Police also arrested a peddler and recovered heroin in Miran Sahib area. As pr the details, a party of Police Station Miran Sahib while on Naka checking at Kali Puli Kirpind apprehended a person namely Vikas Kumar alias Pacha, son of Shanker Singh, resident of Darsopur. On search, 8 gm of heroin like substance and Rs 2000/- cash were recovered from his possession. A case vide FIR No. 70/2019 under sections 8,21,22,27-A and 29 under section NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Miran Sahib.
