STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: The first-Aid training programme, conducted by Dr Shelly Mahajan (MD Anaesthesia) Medical Officer Red Cross, culminated here on Friday at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni. The training was imparted amid strict observance of all SOP of COVID-19 like compulsory mask wearing, social distancing among participants while sitting and effective sanitisation procedure. The group comprised of 12 participants keeping in view new revised guidelines.During the programme, lectures were given regarding First-Aid Kit handling for unconscious, fainted and heart-attack patients. Emphasis was laid on bleeding, wound arrangement, burns, and fractures First-Aid. Practical demonstration depicted bandages, transportation of injured patients and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Medical emergency like choking was also briefed. The training was assisted by Kanchan Devi (Sr Pharmacist). The exam was conducted by Dr Kavita Nijon and Joginder Kumar (Pharmacists). The training was conducted under the close supervision of Vinod Malhotra, Dinesh Gupta, Hony Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region.
