JAMMU: Gandhi Nagar Police has registered a case against Advocate Deepika Singh Rajawat, who represented Kathua gangrape victim in 2018, for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of a community in one of her tweets.A police officer confirmed registration of FIR in the matter, saying that it has been done following a series of complaints from different people. Deepika is presently staying at a rental house in Gandhi Nagar area. On Tuesday, Rajawat had tweeted a cartoon, which had sparked outrage. However, she clarified her stand through an online video but various organisations staged demonstration in Jammu & Kathua, demanding legal action in the matter. They had also lodged a formal complaint against her with the police. Police has started investigation in the matter.
