STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Senior trade union leaders of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Mohd Rafiq Rather and Pir Nisar Ahmad urged the Government to resolve all pending issues of employees working under MGNREGA Scheme. “Highly qualified youth working under this scheme in Rural Development Department are still waiting for their regularisation despite the fact that they are working in the Department since 2005,” they said adding that the issues of these employees are genuine and need early redressel by the Government. These highly qualified youth were appointed to serve the department and they not only provided support to the department but worked hard for the smooth functioning of near about 18 sectors of the department, they said adding that unfortunately these employees are not paid their salaries on monthly basis. Rather and Nisar appealed the Lt Governor of J&K, Chief Secretary and Commissioner Secretary RDD to have a sympathetic look towards their genuine issues and formal orders may be issued for their regularization.
