STATE TIMES NEWS NAGROTA: The 12-day long ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ Camp conducted by 2 J&K Girls Bn NCC, Jammu culminated here on Tuesday at NCC Camping Ground. The camp was organised by 2 J&K Girls Bn NCC, Jammu under the aegis of NCC Group HQ, Jammu from October 11 to 22, 2019. Maj Gen N.K Airy, ADG, NCC Directorate J&K was the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries of cultural programme were Dr Arvinder Singh, Additional Secretary J&K Art and Culture Academy and Brig P.S Babu, DDG J&K Directorate. The cadets presented folk dances of Madhya Pradesh (MP), Mahua Dance of Chhattisgarh (CG), Garbha of Gujarat, Kudd and Thali Dance of Bhaderwah, contemporary dances and many folk songs and dances of J&K and Ladakh. Fusion dance in which cadets of J&K danced on the tribal tunes of Madhya Pradesh and the Bhangra in which the MP and CG cadets danced along with J&K cadets were appreciated by all. A lot of activities including lectures, visits and cultural and sports competitions were organized in this camp to foster the spirit of National Integration in cadets who came from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and J&K. ADG, NCC Directorate J&K praised the cadets for their dedication, discipline and talent. Gen Officer also congratulated the Camp Commandant, Deputy Camp Commandant, Adm officer and their team for commendable work done to make the camp a success.
