STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: Sarpanchs of Budhal New Block met Senior BJP leader Vibodh Gupta and assured their support in favour of BJP candidate Shaida Parveen. While interacting with Sarpanchs and party workers Vibod said BJP is working on the ideology of “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas and Sabka Vishwaas” and interested in fulfilling the needs of the people. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to strengthen grass root democracy in Jammu and Kashmir BDC elections will strengthen Panchayati Raj system and steer the development to new heights, he added. He also said that BJP will win BDC election with thumping majority in the state. While accusing National Conference, PDP and Congress of fielding proxy candidates in ongoing BDC elections in Jammu and Kashmir Senior BJP leader and MLC, Vibodh Gupta said that the so called boycott by the NC,PDP and Congress is a gimmick and by fielding proxy candidates they are deceiving people of the state. Their candidates are contesting elections as proxies. There is no boycott by these parties. Even the senior most workers were seen taking part in the election preparations, Vibodh said. The drama of poll boycott won’t serve any good to the society ,” he added. Sarpanchs who met MLC Vibodh Gupta were Sarpanch Modh Farooq Inqulabi of Panchayat Kewal Lower, Sarpanch Mohd Shabir Kamlak of Panchayat Budhal, Sarpanch Laykel Ali Malik of Panchayat Shahpur, Sarpanch Mohd Iqbal of Panchayat Phalni and Sarpanch Abdul Gafoor Bhat of Panchayat Samole.
