STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Keeping in mind that all learning enters through senses, the students of class first of Delhi Public School (DPS) Nagbani on Tuesday spoke on the functioning of five sense organs. They came forward one by one with the theme along with props and told how sense organs allow us to learn, to protect ourselves and to enjoy our world. They were told beforehand by their class teachers that senses usually work together to give us a clear picture of the things around us. If one sense is not working due to an accident or illness, then other senses take over or become stronger to make up for the missing sense, the teachers told the toddlers. The activity made it clear that the students very efficiently were able to convey that our senses allow us to get things, enjoy the taste of food, the sound of music or admire the things with beauty. The Coordinator of the School, Aarti Gupta praised the efforts of the students, class teachers and the activity Incharge and said that she was well aware of the fact that these children were having limited exposure to the natural world but still with their small experience, they were able to speak on the topic very efficiently.
