State Times NewsJammu: Expressing grave concern on statement of Dr Farooq Abdullah regarding Kashmiris, the Citizen’s Forum advised former Chief Minister J&K to desist from issuing such derogatory statements to mislead poor and innocent people of Kashmir. In a press statement issued here, R K Chadha, President Citizen’s Forum said that Dr Farooq Abdullah wants people of Kashmir to sing the song of China just like him. “I want to remind Farooq that he had already done the same 30 years before, with help of Peer Ghulam Hassan Shah, making people of Kashmir to sing song of Pakistan, due to which both Kashmir and Jammu regions are suffering till date. People of Kashmir very well understand the repercussions of this new slogan articulated by him. Every individual in Kashmir is aware of living standard, facilities, infrastructure and business opportunities made available to them as compared to people of Pakistan and PoK, financially supported by China,” he added. Chadha further said that perhaps Dr Farooq Abdullah has forgotten that Jammu is also a part of J&K which he had ruled for a considerable time. “Every person in valley is aware that a Kashmiri, when travels from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari for selling Shawls on his shoulder, how much he is accepted and loved by all. It is bad luck that the Center Government never appointed mature people to handle issues in Kashmir,” he assrted. Chadha further said that it was hoped after going through a difficult period, J&K people need some peace and prosperity and Dr Farooq Abdullah will lead masses by making them understand value of peaceful life, but the path he has chosen is not different than that of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who achieved nothing in life except dead bodies.
