STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR: District Development commissioner, Ravinder Kumar on Saturday convened a meeting of officers to review preparations for job fair to be organised by Employment and Counseling Centre (DE&CC), Udhampur in the first week of February. Assistant Director DE&CC, Waqar Talib, informed the meeting that nearly 3,000 youth have already been registered with the Employment Department for availing suitable job opportunities in government, public and private sectors. He disclosed that in collaboration with private companies, DE&CC would offer employment opportunities in the private sector to the educated unemployed youth of the district during the fair. During the meeting, the DDC directed Employment Department to launch awareness campaign regarding the fair so that maximum youth attend the event and get proper guidance. He also asked private companies to communicate available vacancies at different levels in their organisations to DE&CC so that educated unemployed youth of the district are informed accordingly. DDC directed the principals of GDCs to ensure participation of final year students of different streams in the fair besides the Principal Polytechnic College, was also directed for participation of students. Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar, CPO, Rajeev Bhushan, IAS Probationer, Santosh Sukhadeve, Principal of GDCs, CEO and representatives of LIC, JIO, Airtel, HDFC, Devika Hyundai and Hotels Association were present in the meeting.
