STATE TIMES NEWS SRINAGAR: Extending full support to J&K Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC-R), Darbar Move Employees Federation (DMEF) on Friday appealed to all Jammu based employees to take active part in protest demonstration at Press Club Jammu on May 28 for highlighting various issues of employees. Federation’s State President, Ovais Wani said that the federations has extended its support to EJAC-R’s protest against reversing of decades-old practice in J&K by the Governor’s administration besides restoring summer timings in Jammu to 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM instead of 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Federation demanded enhancement of medical allowance in favour of employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 10000 per month at par with Assembly members. It also demanded removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre / amendment in SRO-333 and formation of a roadmap policy for regularising daily-wagers and contractual employees in various Departments to avoid further protests besides addressing increasing unemployment crises in the State. Demanded immediate implementation of 14 per cent Government share as directed by the Central Government, Wani said, “Same is being implemented in other States of the country, then why the State Government is delaying the same.”
