STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: Cyber Police Jammu on Wednesday apprehended a person for sending obscene pictures/messages.As per details, Cyber Police Station Jammu received a written complaint from a woman, resident of Jammu, stating that one unknown Facebook profile with a female nomenclature became friend with her. Soon after becoming friends, the handler of aforesaid Facebook profile confessed that he is a male and started sending vulgar comments/obscene pictures on Facebook messenger.Based on the complaint, a case vide FIR No. 04/2020 under Sections 67/67-A of Information Technology Act was registered at Cyber Police Station, Jammu and investigation of the case was entrusted to Inspector Rakesh Sharma of Cyber Police Station, Jammu. During the course of investigation, the data (both electronic & physical) was collected and analysed. Based on evidences collected, the Investigating Officer under close supervision of Naresh Sharma SP Ops Jammu (SHO Cyber Police Station) zeroed down a suspect namely Ramesh Kumar, son of Bihari Lal, resident of Khour, Miran Sahib. The suspect was summoned for questioning at Cyber Police Station Jammu.During questioning, the suspect confessed commission of crime and subsequently, was arrested in the instant case. Further investigation of the case is under process. During investigation, it came to fore that the accused used to send similar friend requests and obscene pictures to multiple Facebook users.
